Imagine being able to touch the sky and around you the immense beauty of the Dolomite: Unesco World heritage site!

You can escape the heat of the city, or maybe a rainy summer or your cold winter, depending where you're coming from... Here in the beautiful Italian Alps of the Northeast you can breathe clean and fresh mountain air while enjoying the mild Italian climate.

If you are a motorcycle rider you can have a lot of fun on countless hairpin turns: I just came back from a week tour there and drove the four passes route (Sella-Gardena-Campolongo-Pordoi) and counted >100!

This is also a favorite place for bicycle riding - whether for fun or for serious training, you'll feel it when you're done!

From many spots along the road you can also start wonderful hiking tours, from simple striding along a mountain torrent to demanding hiking with via ferrata sections.

All these activities will reward you with breathtaking views of the Dolomites, lush vegetation, wild mountain streams and beautiful mountain lakes where you can get refreshed.

Of course, these roads are perfectly fine for cars as well!

Stopping along the route as you tour around is just as interesting: you can discover cozy places with wonderful views and tasty local food and drinks!

Discover the mountain lifestyle in the towns and villages of the area, offering interesting and fun events throughout the whole summer, while you can make one of these areas your resting spot. How about a cozy hotel with modern rooms featuring smooth cotton linens that cuddle you to a resting sleep and ready for the next day's discovery!

This area is surrounded by rich agricultural terrain offering some of Italy's best wines, fruit and vegetables in addition to venison from the hills and mountains and mushrooms from the woods. Rich and tasty, the local cuisine is a combination of the lightness of Mediterranean and richness of the Austro-Hungarian heritage. One of the loved local specialties are "canederli" (bread dumplings) in many different variations: a must have! Other typical dishes are based on many varieties of mushrooms, venison, polenta (cornmeal mush). Typical wines are Teroldego, Lagrein, Cabernet Franc and Merlot for the reds; Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Terlan for the whites. Just to name a few!

This area is also well served with local microbreweries, for example Birra di Fiemme.

After a day riding a motorbike or a bicycle, hiking in the mountains or simply driving around enjoying the scenery, have a tasty aperitivo in one of the many hip bars before you taste a great dinner.

Carnival or Valentine's Day? Why not both!

Walking the street of Venice in the misty air of a February dusk and meet some of the wonderfully handcrafted costumes is a unique experience. Nowhere in the world is the atmosphere of Carnival so linked to the mystery and glamour of the past as in Venice: Only here will you find baronesses and counts, earls and duchesses, princes and princesses or simply fantastic... You can also go a step further and be part of the show: Bring your own costumes, rent or buy some on site and stroll around, pose and enjoy the marveled look on the faces of the crowd. More even, join in a Carnival event, costume reception and experience it in full.

Particularly interesting for all lovers celebrating Valentine's Day: It will be just the day after the Carnival apex day on Mardi Gras. Thus adding one more reason to visit this city so unique! Trade your Carnival costumes with the elegance for a romantic dinner on the Canal Grande...
